Elk County updates job descriptions; approves part-time sheriff�s clerk position

The Elk County Salary Board approved a package of updated job descriptions intended to modernize job duties and formatting across county departments, and separately approved a part-time office clerk position for the sheriff's office.

Pat, the county chief clerk, told the board many job descriptions were out of date and that updates are being processed systematically to align duties with current regulations and technology. "We're not establishing or changing any positions. We are only updating and refreshing the job descriptions," Pat said while requesting approval of items A and B for CYS job descriptions (case aide and caseworker salary grades).

Nancy Baker confirmed she had reviewed and approved the CYS job descriptions. For the sheriff's office item, Sheriff Todd Croone said he had reviewed the proposal and had nothing to add.

Board members moved and seconded the approvals. The chair called for the voice vote and announced the motions carried.
