The Polk County Board of Commissioners presented a STAR Recognition Award on March 31 to the District Attorney's Office Discovery Evidence Division, recognizing staff members Carrie Jackson, Gerald Carlson and Supervisor Matt Olson for their work processing evidence and discovery.
At the meeting the Chair read a nomination from Aaron Felton praising the team's teamwork and customer service. The nomination said the DA's office is "consistently able to provide discovery in the majority of our cases within 5 days or less of filing" and is able to fulfill specific discovery requests "within 24 to 48 hours." The board presented the award and invited the recipients forward for a photograph.
The Chair said the recognition reflects the division's role in helping prosecutors meet discovery obligations and supporting confidence from the bench, the public and other attorneys. No formal policy or budget action accompanied the recognition; it was an award presentation and photo opportunity.
The meeting then moved to Planning Commission interviews. No votes were taken on this award; it was presented as an acknowledgment of staff service.
