Pacific Grove Unified leaders urged families to complete the district’s LCAP survey, saying parent feedback will shape the district’s three‑year plan and that the questionnaire takes only a few minutes.
Dr. Adamson, speaking in a short recorded message, described the Local Control and Accountability Plan, or LCAP, as “our district's three‑year plan. It's a roadmap. It guides every decision we make and all the work we do here in PUSD,” and said that is why parent and family responses matter: “We need to hear from you so we know what's working, how we're making progress, and what we can do better.”
Dr. Hedquist provided participation numbers, saying the district has received 191 survey responses so far. He noted Pacific Grove Unified enrolls “over 1,700 students in our district,” and said the district is “aiming to gather 500 responses by next Friday.”
The speakers told families they should have received an email with a link to the survey. The message reiterated the survey has “about 11 questions and should take about 3 minutes to respond,” and encouraged people to click the link and complete it before the April 10 deadline.
The district did not in this message specify how responses will be weighted or how results will be reported back to families. Leaders asked for broad participation and set the 500‑response goal as a short‑term target to increase family input into the LCAP process.
