District staff presented drone footage and progress photos for the new CTE and school building project, describing work by building section and giving a financial and schedule update.
According to the presentation, the project has expended $11,018,240.96 — reported as 28.05% of the total budget — and is approximately 38.3% complete. Staff noted two recorded change orders and listed three payments to the architect/contractor (RRMM) in the current packet.
Construction highlights included completed steel work for sections B and C, a mezzanine area to be poured with concrete in coming weeks, and forms in place for a pedestrian bridge to be erected this summer. Staff said roof sheathing and metal decking work are under way and that membrane installation is expected to begin around April 22, with roughly 1½ to 2 months estimated to make the building weather-tight.
No vote or formal action was required; board members asked scheduling and roof-timing questions and were told the project remains on schedule and under budget as reported.
