Andrea nominated and confirmed as chair of Concord DEI Commission

Andrea was nominated and confirmed as chair of the Concord Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission during the group’s April 30 meeting.

Commissioner Josh Lee formally nominated Andrea for the chair position; the motion was seconded and carried by a roll-call vote. Members used the meeting to thank outgoing or rotating members (Nancy and G) and to acknowledge Rose Kressley’s years of leadership. Rose led the meeting and opened with roll call before handing program updates to commissioners.

Members praised Rose and the commission’s founding work and emphasized continuity: Andrea said she would continue to work with commission leadership and carry forward ongoing programs. Several commissioners, including Agnes and Bridal Farber, offered extended thanks for Rose’s stewardship and noted the commission’s role in creating a welcoming public forum.

The commission moved from ceremonial recognition into operational business, approving previous meeting minutes and confirming the leadership change before continuing with substantive agenda items.
