Board schedules public hearing March 30 for Maple Avenue trucking terminal after applicant submits outstanding septic info

The Goshen Planning Board set a public hearing for March 30 on the Maple Avenue Venues LLC application for a trucking terminal at 349 Maple Avenue, provided the applicant submits outstanding septic/sewer information and other required materials to planners by March 16.

Applicant Juan Acevedo of GS Engineering reviewed plan changes including moving parking from the front yard to the side, adding ADA parking and clarifying the 150‑foot stream‑corridor limit measured from the high water mark. The applicant requested relief from a well‑testing requirement, citing projected water use of about 120 gallons per day (comparable to a one‑bedroom home); staff discussed fire‑department access and asked for pavement detail and trash‑enclosure specifications.

Board members asked about screening of the gravel parking area from Maple Avenue and suggested photos to confirm existing vegetation; the applicant proposed three evergreen trees and said existing vegetation provided additional screening. The board also discussed whether the fuel tank on site (reported by the applicant as a 500‑gallon fuel oil tank with double containment) required additional containment measures.
