The Hoschton City Council approved several routine planning and infrastructure measures during its meeting.
City planner Rich presented the Aberdine final plat for Pod C and the council approved the final plat after a motion and second. Council also approved Resolution 2026-09 dedicating the Aberdine lift station (Pod C) and Resolution 2026-08 to close Ray Road Avenue at the depot for the April 25 beer-and-wine festival.
Staff recommended and the council approved a $45,000 change order to install a control valve on the downtown City Square water tank so the tank can remain active and help manage pressure and water turnover. Jennifer (city staff) explained that keeping the tank online reduces the need for duplicate maintenance and estimated a continued maintenance obligation of roughly $12,000 per year if the tank remains.
The council also approved an administrative update to Peach State Bank signature cards to remove Dave Brown and add new signers including JJ Jackson and Maria, to ensure at least two active signers due to staff availability.
Several of these items passed by voice vote with no roll-call tallies given in the meeting; minutes were corrected and recorded during the regular-agenda review to reflect prior roll-call details where noted. The Malberry Park bid, discussed earlier, was not approved.
