Kim Kuhl, senior services program manager for Bullhead City, detailed the city's senior campus offerings aimed at residents age 50 and older.
The campus provides daily activities including Zumba and chair exercise, craft classes, games such as bingo and pinochle, and technology tutoring. Staff also run support groups and educational monthly "lunch and learn" sessions and operate a free mini clinic. The Meals on Wheels program delivers lunches and wellness checks to many homebound seniors.
Kuhl said lunches are served Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m., with the last lunch at noon; the suggested donation is $3 for those aged 60 and above or disabled individuals, and $4 for others aged 60 (transcript provides those suggested amounts). She encouraged residents to call the senior campus at the number provided or visit in person at 2275 Train Road, off Highway 95 between Marina Boulevard and Hancock Road next to City Hall.
"We are your hub for giving you the contacts you need," Kuhl said. The campus also hosts social events including monthly birthday celebrations, line dancing and other activities designed to promote social connection and health among older residents.
