Rob Drake, assistant counsel for the ABC board, told the Contract Review Committee that an amendment to the Manhattan warehouse-management contract will give ABC both real-time access to analytics collected by Manhattan and the ability to migrate historical data to ABC-controlled Microsoft Azure accounts.
Drake said Manhattan will retain hosted data for 90 days to provide a look-back capability and that the amendment also allows ABC to obtain historical records for longer-term storage on its own servers. The amendment term proposed is six years at $65,000 annually, with the first year prorated to about $10,000.
Committee members asked clarifying questions about which cloud accounts would store the data and heard that Manhattan uses Microsoft Azure; ABC staff said the migration would move historical datasets into the agency’s Azure environment. No committee member raised a formal objection during that presentation and the item moved on to the next agenda topic.
The committee did not take a recorded roll-call vote on this item during the session; questions about implementation and access controls were limited to the discussion in the meeting.
