Grants Pass waives park reservation fees for long-running Froggo Fair

The Grants Pass City Council voted May 6 to waive park reservation fees for the Froggo Fair, a longstanding children's festival held at Riverside Park. Public comment included Trevor Yerush, who said the Froggo Fair is a "cornerstone" community event with long volunteer involvement and urged the council to waive fees so volunteers would not have to raise extra sponsorship dollars. Councilor Kathleen moved to approve the permit and waive all fees, including the refundable deposit; the motion carried in a roll-call vote with all present councilors voting yes.

The waiver is intended to support volunteer-run, family-friendly events and recognizes the event's estimated attendance (about 2,000) and long history in the community.
