Torrington — Trustees for the City Employees Retirement Fund and the Police Pension Fund approved a series of pension computations during the boards’ joint meeting on May 6.
Motions were moved and seconded to accept pension computations for city employees including Emil Castro (fleet manager) effective 06/27/2025 after 20 years of service; Raymond Drew (public works director) effective 04/04/2026 after 30.32 years; Morrette Wall (executive secretary) effective 12/01/2025 after 20 years; Kingsley Beecher (foreman, equipment maintenance) effective 01/17/2026 after 25 years; Pamela Edwards (senior secretary, Fire Department) effective 12/23/2025 after 21 years; and school custodial staff (Chris Paganini, Chris Atono, Michael St. Pierre) with effective dates as recorded.
The trustees also approved multiple police department pension computations (including Robert Bridal, Robert Davies, Douglas Brennan, Madeline Gellamino, John Maiga, Steven Krasnowski) and fire department computations (Edward Beceta, Kevin Engel, Randall Chesnick). Each motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
These routine pension approvals were presented and passed early in the evening before the boards moved on to the public safety meeting and subsequent budget deliberations.
