The Davis County Commission approved several health‑department funding actions May 5, including an amendment to WIC funding, a preschool development grant amendment and three community partner agreements for suicide‑prevention funds.
Brian Hatch, presenting for the Health Department, told commissioners that the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) contract amendment is a receivable of $147,438 covering activity through Sept. 30, 2026. He also presented an $80,000 receivable amendment tied to the Preschool Development Grant (PDG) for the county’s home‑visiting program for 2026.
Hatch said the department also had three community partner contracts to distribute modest suicide‑prevention funds: $500 to I Love You Bro Project, $500 to Complete Mission, and $1,000 to Davis Technical College. Commissioners approved items 17–21 by voice vote; no public comment was recorded during the associated public hearing.
The approvals authorize staff to accept the receivables and execute the community partner agreements; funding sources and implementation details were discussed in the work session that preceded the meeting, according to the presenter.
