Mooresville council approves economic redevelopment resolution, adopts Covell proclamation and clears claims

At its May 5 meeting the Mooresville Town Council voted to approve Resolution 42026, a confirmatory resolution declaring Overton & Sons Tool & Die an economic redevelopment area that sets the groundwork for a personal-property abatement. The public hearing on the resolution drew no public comment and the council closed the hearing before voting; the motion to approve passed 4-0.

The council also unanimously adopted a proclamation honoring Captain Seth R.
