The Lakeville City Council approved several development and contract items on May 4, advancing a satellite water treatment project, land‑use applications and a stadium alcohol license.
On a pulled consent item, council approved a supplemental agreement with Black & Veatch Corporation for preliminary engineering on the satellite water treatment plant (City Project 27‑13). Councilmember Dan Walter moved the measure; the roll call recorded four ayes and one nay (Councilmember Lee opposed), and the mayor announced the item passed.
The council also granted an on‑sale wine and strong beer license for the Lakeville Baseball Association at Belzer Stadium in Grand Prairie Park after a brief public‑hearing period with no public testimony. The council moved and voted to grant the license by roll call.
On land use, the council approved a preliminary plat and conditional use permit for Globus Business Park, allowing a warehouse building and associated parking and outdoor storage (within the district limit). Planning staff said engineering, landscaping and screening requirements will be addressed during final plat review; the planning commission had unanimously recommended approval.
Separately, the council approved the Haven at Lake Marion applications from Progressive LLC (Country Joe Homes): a preliminary plat for 51 homes (11 detached villas and 40 twin‑home sites), a comprehensive plan amendment, zoning map amendment and a shoreland conditional use permit. Planning staff noted the proposal is below the site’s potential density allowance and that an outlot remains reserved pending future evaluation. Councilmember Lee moved the multi‑part approval.
