The Inglewood City Council on May 5 approved a consent calendar that included staff recommendations to authorize grant agreements with Metro for World Cup open-street events and a Metro active-transport grant. Staff asked the mayor be authorized to sign, deliver and execute all necessary agreements and future amendments.
Council members moved and seconded the consent items; roll call recorded ayes by councilmembers Padilla, Morales, Fogg and Mayor Butts for the recorded items during the meeting.
The council also approved the nomination of Alex Monge to the Parks and Recreation Commission after a motion from Councilman Eloy Morales and a second; the roll call again recorded ayes from the same members.
Separately, staff set a public hearing for June 9, 2026 at 2 p.m. to consider substantial amendments to the FY2025-26 Annual Action Plan and the HOME-ARP allocation plan related to affordable rental housing funds.
What happens next: staff is authorized to execute grant agreements and will proceed with program implementation and any required future amendments; the June 9 public hearing will proceed as scheduled.
