Ascension Public Schools introduces new director and supervisor for primary schools

The Ascension Public Schools board introduced two new primary-school leaders during its meeting.

The superintendent introduced "Miss Michelle" as the district’s new director of primary schools; Michelle thanked the board and district leaders and said she looked forward to supporting principals and staff across the district. "I'm extremely honored to take this position," she said.

The superintendent then introduced Karen Daigle as the new supervisor of primary schools. Daigle, who the superintendent noted has decades of experience in the district, thanked the board and family members in attendance and said she is excited to work with principals and staff in the new role.

Board members welcomed the appointees; the meeting paused briefly to allow family members and guests to leave before business continued.

Next steps: the new administrators will begin duties in their roles and the board will continue routine oversight as needed.
