The Ringgold County Board of Supervisors on May 4 voted unanimously to publish a proposed FY26 budget amendment and scheduled a public hearing for Monday, May 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors office, Auditor Amanda Waske reported. The board adopted Resolution RC26.80 by motion of Supervisor Steve Knapp, seconded by Supervisor Randy Taytor; the auditor attested the resolution.
Waske also presented samples of ordinances and moratoriums on data centers and said County Attorney Mike Wetts will draft a sample document for the board’s review and consideration. The transcript records the request and the attorney's assignment but contains no drafted text or ordinance language at this meeting.
The Board also approved a fireworks permit for Jeff Fanning and adopted Resolution RC26-81; the motion was made by Supervisor Randy Taytor and seconded by Supervisor Steve Knapp, and the resolution passed unanimously with Auditor Amanda Waske attesting.
In other routine business the Board approved the meeting agenda and the minutes by motions from Supervisors Knapp and Taytor, and adjourned at 11:57 a.m. No further budget votes, ordinance adoptions or final actions on the data-center samples were recorded at the meeting.
