The Douglas County Board of Commissioners on May 5 approved a Class I license and manager application for Alpine Wellness doing business as Woodhouse Spa, and kept a separate license hearing for Pump and Pantry open and continued it to May 19.
Ashlyn Becker, the applicant and owner of Alpine Wellness, identified herself and answered commissioners’ questions at the hearing. With no public comments opposed to the license, the board closed the hearing and voted 6–0 to approve the manager application for Becker at the Woodhouse Spa location.
A second hearing for Pump and Pantry (manager application for Kinsey Aitken) remained on the published agenda but county staff and the county attorney noted that the item would be continued to May 19 to ensure proper notice and submission requirements were met. The county attorney’s office and the county clerk confirmed a desire to keep the public hearing open and return the item two weeks later for final action.
The board recorded no public opposition to the spa application; the pump-and-pantry hearing will be revisited at the May 19 meeting as noted by county staff.
