Select Board approves several short‑term entertainment and storage licenses

At its May 4 meeting the Select Board approved a short series of licenses after brief presentations and community questions.

The board approved two one‑day Sunday entertainment permits for the Falmouth Yacht Club (290 Clinton Ave.) for events on June 21 and September 6. Michael, the club general manager (speaker 20), said the club will monitor driveway impacts and had spoken with a neighbor about prior concerns.

The board also approved an above‑ground storage tank (AST) license for Sun Retreats / Sun Cape Cod RV LLC (130 Thomas B Landers Road). Brian Goa (speaker 21) said the site’s tanks — including two 500‑gallon tanks used to heat pools plus a bank of smaller tanks for campers — are serviced by licensed propane contractors and inspected by Falmouth Fire; no incidents were reported.

Board members voted to approve both items after staff review and short public comment; conditions described in state statute and local permitting practice remain applicable.
