Ada County awards forensic lab contract, approves jail warehouse generator bid and tables landfill grinding RFP

Ada County procurement presented evaluation results and the board approved two contract awards and a tabling of a third procurement.

For RFP 26036 (Ada County forensic lab digital evidence management system), procurement read the evaluation committee letter listing the top‑ranked proposers and recommended awarding the contract to Foray LLC, doing business as Foray Technologies. Commissioner Daley moved to approve the recommendation based on the evaluation committee's scoring; the motion was seconded and carried.

For public works bid 26039 (Ada County Jail warehouse generator replacement 2026), procurement reported three bids. Pacific Source Electric submitted the lowest responsive bid at $122,950 and the board approved that award.

Procurement opened one proposal for RFP 26040 (Landfill wood and green waste grinding services) from Timber Creek Recycling. Staff requested additional time for final ranking and recommended tabling the award for consideration at the May 19, 2026 open business meeting; the commissioners moved, seconded and approved tabling the item to allow the evaluation team more time to review the single proposal.
