Committee approves submission of HUD annual action plan for program year 2026

The committee approved Resolution 26-50 authorizing the mayor to sign and submit the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development annual action plan for program year 2026, the second year of the city's five-year consolidated plan.

Andy, who presented the item, told the committee that most elements of the plan remain unchanged from the five-year strategy. "Everything on the home side is exactly the same," he said, and added that "the only thing that changes year to year in the 5 year plan is the list of CDBG projects," which city staff vets and recommends.

Committee members moved and adopted the resolution without further amendment. The action directs the mayor to transmit the annual plan to HUD as required by federal program rules. No public comment or formal conditions were recorded during the committee vote.
