Committee adopts FY26–27 Coliseum and Convention Center budget with reduced city subsidy

The committee adopted Resolution 26-53, approving the proposed FY26''27 budget for the Coliseum and Convention Center.

Mister Michaud presented the budget and identified staff who helped prepare it, saying the budget as drafted showed total revenues and that the anticipated general-fund subsidy from the city is $670,000 this year. "The general fund included a subsidy of 670,000 this year," he said; he acknowledged earlier he had misread a document and clarified the full amount budgeted in the general fund. He noted that prior years had higher subsidies, at times around $900,000 or more, and that the current budget is trending downward compared with earlier periods.

Committee members expressed appreciation for the reduced subsidy and moved to adopt the budget; the motion carried. Staff indicated standard follow-up and oversight will continue under Coliseum and Convention Center governance.
