The Tippecanoe County Board of Commissioners approved multiple routine administrative and contractual items on May 4.
Highlights of actions taken:
• Approved acceptance of a maintenance bond from Atlas Excavating for Barrington Lake Section 3 in the amount of $106,437.50 and accepted associated streets totaling 0.601 miles.
• Accepted a maintenance bond from Merit Contracting for Timberbrook Meadows Phase 1, Section 2 ($132,647.66) and accepted streets totaling 2,453.56 feet (0.465 miles).
• Approved renewal of an interlocal cooperation agreement with 4 Precious Paws spay and neuter clinic; county share described in meeting as $9,600 per year.
• Approved renewal of a GIS interlocal agreement among political subdivisions to share GIS data and approved a construction management services agreement for the Buck Creek Colburn project not to exceed $50,000 plus expenses.
• Accepted three perpetual sewer easements with modest payments to grantors and approved an appraisal services contract with Buckland & Associates for $19,550 to appraise county‑owned buildings for insurance purposes.
• Authorized the Health Department to apply for maternal and child health funding from the Indiana Department of Health and approved acceptance of a $5,500 Duke Energy Foundation grant for a HAZMAT safety drone for EMA staff and volunteers.
• Youth Services was authorized to accept JDAI funding of $95,000 (FY27) and juvenile community corrections funding of $271,637; the board also approved rural transportation grant documents for signature.
