Goshen board accepts donation of parcel next to dog park at 113 S. 9th St.

Tanya presented a gift agreement at the May 4 meeting proposing that Artisan LLC donate a parcel at 113 South 9th Street to the city for park purposes.

Tanya said the parcel borders the dog park and that following construction of the State Route 33 overpass the original house on the lot was demolished, leaving only a dilapidated garage. "Artisan took ownership of the land and agreed to donate it to the city, for park purposes," Tanya said. The parcel and accompanying map were included in the board packet.

The board voted to accept the gift agreement. The board then passed Resolution 2026-1, "a resolution of the City of Goshen and Recreation Board accepting real property for park purposes," also by unanimous vote, and staff arranged for signatures after the meeting.

Next steps: department staff will complete closing paperwork and record the parcel as park property.
