Housing Task Force membership updated and quorum lowered to 40%

The Vernon County Economic Development Committee approved changes to the Housing Task Force and adjusted its quorum rules on March 5.

Community Development Director Amy Oliver proposed removing four members — Hanna McKeever, Jake Victor, Shelby Janecek and Kayra Eitland — and appointing Dani Landrehr. The committee approved the membership changes unanimously. Committee members discussed recurring quorum problems and voted to lower the task force quorum requirement from 50% plus one to 40% of total members; that motion also passed unanimously.

Committee members said the quorum change was intended to avoid repeating past meeting cancellations or inaction due to absent members. The committee did not record dissenting views and gave staff direction to implement the membership changes and updated bylaws for the task force.
