Tunica County sheriff's office reports $4,092.75 drone claim and April staffing changes

A representative of the Tunica County Sheriff's Office (speaker 8) told the Board of Supervisors on May 4 that the office received a check from Tunica County dated 05/01/2026 for $4,092.75 for claim DHW8066 related to a damaged drone; the amount will be deposited into the sheriff's seized funds account.

The sheriff's office also provided personnel and financial totals for April. The office reported three separations in April (employee IDs reported in the minutes), and said total reimbursements from the Mississippi Department of Corrections for inmate housing and other receipts amounted to $21,546.58. In addition, the office reported grant reimbursements totaling $6,506.44.

The board received the report without further action.

"Please be advised that the Tunica County Sheriff's Office has received a check from Tunica County on 05/01/2026 in the amount of $4,092.75 for claim payment DHW8066 related to a damaged drone," the representative said during the meeting.
