Filmmakers Collective member outlines skill-share series in Missoula

Misha, a member of the Filmmakers Collective in Missoula, said the group started in September and has run a series of community skill-share sessions covering practical filmmaking topics.

The collective has "offered different skill shares," Misha said, citing programming that ranged from "writing in writers' rooms for television" to producing, budgeting and "how to promote and build a YouTube following." Organizers have also held discussions on the "AI, pros and cons" of artificial intelligence and on working with composers. "Everybody's welcome," Misha added.

The sessions are described as peer-led skill shares rather than formal classes; Misha did not specify costs, dates for upcoming meetings, or a point of contact. The group said its aim is to broaden practical filmmaking skills and foster collaboration among local creators in Missoula.

Misha did not announce any formal proposals, funding requests or motions during the remarks. The presentation was a brief community update and invitation to participate.
