Director of operations outlines Board of Elections move, rekeying and server split

Jamie Broker, Morrow County's director of operations, updated the board on logistics related to the Board of Elections (BOE) move and server-room work, saying the county is "down to maybe just a handful of items left" on the BOE project and that keying and contractor scheduling remain outstanding.

Broker told commissioners the BOE move will occur after certification, and that contractors are scheduled to provide quotes and perform work this week. She said cameras purchased for the BOE have been paid for and are stored and that some doors and key schedules are "a little messy," recommending the county obtain rekeying quotes to ensure security. "We are splitting the current cage into 2, 1 for... elections, 1 for job family services," Broker said, describing the server-room change as the "last piece of the puzzle for the main mechanicals of the server room." Broker also said the county may hire a key professional to help with patching and setting up new servers.

Broker noted some jobs have strict downtime windows and recommended scheduling moves when systems are least disruptive. She said she will gather quotes for rekeying and moving and return with pricing for the board to consider.

The board recorded the updates and approved related quotes for BOE facility work during the same session. No public comment was recorded on these operational items.
