Fox Board approves consent agenda, policy updates and routine audits

The Fox Board of Education met March 14 and approved a slate of routine governance items, including policy updates and contracts, during its regular session at the superintendent’s office.

Board President Eusebio “Joey” Rodriguez called the meeting to order. Otto Young moved and Stacie Fletcher seconded approval of the consent agenda (items 3–8). The consent items included approval of the Feb. 22, 2024 minutes; adoption of the OSSBA policy EHBDBA for Fox Public Schools; setting district transfer capacities at 25 students per grade level at each site; an update to board policy EHDD (addition of a final paragraph); and approval of Sylogist contracts for the 2024–25 school year. The motion passed with four ayes and one absence (Twanna Owens absent).

Separately, the board approved an AHERA three‑year inspection for Fox Public Schools to be performed by Precision Testing. The AHERA item was passed by the same recorded vote: Stacie Fletcher, Carolyn McConnell, Otto Young and Joey Rodriguez voting aye.

Members also moved to file the activity fund financial report and the district financial report for audit. The board approved the filing of specified purchase orders, payroll and payments to be placed on audit, including General Fund P.O.s 141–150; General Fund payroll P.O.s 50000–50043; General Fund payments 602–682; Building Fund payroll P.O.s 50000–50002; Building Fund payments 197–219; and Municipal Tax Levy 2013 P.O. 25025. No action was taken on agenda items 12, 13 and 14.

The approvals are routine governance actions that clear administrative and compliance items for the district; the board adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
