Rock Valley council advances Kooima Company TIF amendment and adopts zoning change; seeks planning help for CDBG

The Rock Valley City Council took a series of actions in June related to local economic development and land use, including tax-increment financing (TIF) for Kooima Company, LLC and a zoning change on a Rock Valley parcel.

At the June 6 meeting the council approved Resolution No. 937-24 to set a public hearing for an amended agreement regarding tax-increment financing for the Kooima Company project. On June 20, Council member Koldenhoven introduced Resolution No. 937-24(b) to amend the TIF incentives for Kooima Company, LLC; the council voted to adopt the resolution. Council member Granstra introduced Resolution No. 937-24(c) requesting assistance from the Northwest Iowa Planning & Development Commission staff with a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application; the council adopted that resolution unanimously.
