The Rockwall Historic Preservation Advisory Board tabled consideration of a certificate of appropriateness for roof work at 501 Crudell Street (case H2024005) and a related small matching-grant request (H2024006) after the applicant did not attend the meeting.
Staff described the property as a high-contributing Victorian (built about 1885, roughly 2,152 square feet) and said the applicant proposed replacing existing metal roofing with standing seam metal on the main structure and patio and replacing asphalt shingles on later additions. Staff said 32 notices were mailed (staff remarked 20 or 32 notices) and none were returned in opposition.
The chair moved to table both the COA and the matching-grant request until the applicant can attend; the motions to table passed 5–1. Staff said the items will be placed on the June 20 Planning and Zoning Committee or Historic Preservation Advisory Board agenda for further consideration.
