At its April 27 meeting the Enumclaw City Council approved two resolutions affecting sewer reimbursements and park lighting.
Resolution 1872: City clerk read a resolution establishing an assessment reimbursement area for sewer installed as part of the Roosevelt Avenue roundabout project. City staff said the city fronted construction and expects to recapture slightly under $88,000 from four affected parcels through the latecomers agreement. The council moved, seconded and approved the resolution by voice vote.
Resolution 1874: Parks Director Aliyah Hibbs presented a proposed application to the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office for a youth athletic facilities grant to support lighting at Boise Creek fields. "This grant application proposes an award of $400,000," Hibbs said. The project would use $202,000 in impact fees as the local match and budget the remaining match in 2027, producing a project budget of about $800,000 including a 15% contingency. Council approved the resolution authorizing the grant application by voice vote; the motion was recorded as made by Councilmember Krejzer and seconded by Councilmember Smith.
Both items passed by voice vote; staff will implement the next administrative steps for recording the sewer reimbursement document (Resolution 1872) and submitting the RCO grant application (Resolution 1874).
