Freeburg hires utility billing clerk, pool lifeguards and seasonal workers; approves PTO pool pass donation

The Freeburg Village Board approved several personnel actions and a community donation during the April 20, 2026 meeting.

Trustee Ramon Matchett Jr. moved and Trustee Elizabeth (Lisa) Meehling seconded to hire lifeguards Caitlen Anderson, Blyss Payne, Vance Kimmle, Gavin Kimmle and Siera Taylor, and concession workers Greta Schulz and Taylor Trout. The motion passed by roll call (6 ayes). The Public Property Committee also approved donating a 10-use swimming pool pass to Freeburg District 70 PTO.

In separate actions, Trustee Ramon Matchett Jr. moved to hire part-time seasonal workers Hunter Morgan and Drew Beisiegel; Trustee Robert (Bob) Kaiser seconded and the motion carried (6 ayes). Later in the meeting, Trustee Matchett moved to hire Haleigh Borger as Utility Billing Clerk; Trustee Elizabeth (Lisa) Meehling seconded and the motion carried by roll call (6 ayes).

Trustees and staff offered brief congratulatory remarks to the new hires. The minutes record the hires and the donation but do not list start dates, wages, or full job descriptions in the public minutes.
