The Putnam County Physical Services Committee on Feb. 10 pre‑filed a series of routine resolutions and approvals, all recorded as passing unanimously.
- Budgetary Amendment 26A007: Commissioner Barbara Barosa said this was previously budgeted and the amendment establishes the line for the Planning Department’s Pavement Management Program. Chairman Gouldman moved to pre‑file the resolution; Legislator Sayegh seconded and the motion passed.
- Nelsonville Substation lease renewal: Sheriff Brian Hess said roughly 10 officers are assigned to the Nelsonville substation; the committee approved a five‑year extension. Chairman Gouldman said the substation will be dedicated to former Sheriff Kevin McConville once the lease is finalized.
- SEQRA negative declarations: The committee recorded SEQRA negative declarations and pre‑filed resolutions for the Tilly Foster Farm conservation easement amendment and for the Donald B. Smith Campus site improvements.
- Prospective tax cancellations: Outside counsel Andrew Negro explained that two parcels in Putnam Valley and one in Philipstown that are lake beds would be removed from future tax rolls under Section 1138 of the Real Property Tax Law; Negro clarified this stops future taxation and does not cancel prior taxes.
- Local law on Veterans Memorial Park Advisory Board: Legislator Crowley said the law would codify administration of the Row of Honor flag program to ensure flags are disposed of properly; the committee pre‑filed the resolution.
Chairman Gouldman moved to adjourn at 6:50 p.m.; Legislator Sayegh seconded and the meeting concluded.
