Council approves sewer assessment reimbursement area and parks grant application

ENUMCLAW — At its April 27 meeting the City Council approved two formal resolutions by voice vote.

Resolution 1872: sewer assessment reimbursement area — City staff explained the resolution would establish an assessment reimbursement area for sewer installed as part of the Roosevelt Avenue roundabout project and allow the city to recapture slightly under $88,000 from four affected parcels. The council moved, seconded and approved the resolution by voice vote.

Resolution 1874: RCO youth athletic facilities grant — Parks Director Aliyah Hibbs described a Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office grant application requesting $400,000 to relamp existing fluorescent lighting and add lighting for two currently unlit fields. The project would leverage $202,000 in impact fees and budget an additional $198,000 in the 2027 budget for a total planned project cost of approximately $800,000 (including a 15% contingency).
