Granite Falls council approves law-enforcement interlocal, housing ILA amendment and awards City Hall siding contract

At its Oct. 4 meeting the Granite Falls City Council approved three administrative items: an interlocal agreement with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office for law-enforcement services, an amendment to an interlocal cooperation agreement on affordable housing within Snohomish County, and a contract award for siding replacement and painting at the old City Hall.

Mayor Pro Tem Glenn moved to approve the interlocal law-enforcement agreement and to authorize the City Manager to sign; Councilmember Tom FitzGerald seconded and the motion carried. Councilmember FitzGerald moved to authorize the City Manager to sign the amendment to the affordable-housing interlocal agreement; Mayor Pro Tem Glenn seconded and the motion carried.

On procurement, Councilmember FitzGerald moved to award the siding replacement and painting of old City Hall to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, GPA Enterprises, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $104,952.32 excluding Washington State sales tax (WSST) and inclusive of materials; Councilmember David Griggs seconded and the motion carried.

None of the motions in the meeting record include roll-call vote tallies; the minutes record the outcomes as "motion carried." The interlocal agreements authorize administrative action by the City Manager to finalize execution; the contract award instructs staff to proceed with the vendor selection and adjustments to the bid as discussed by council.
