During the May 14, 2019 special session, the Steuben County Council approved several routine transfers and appointments to move departmental processes onto payroll and to pursue grant funding.
County Recorder Linda Myers requested a transfer within the #1189 Recorders Perpetuation Fund to move a contractual employee from claims payment to a personal services line so the employee can be paid through the payroll system with withholding taxes; the council approved the transfer on a motion by Linda Hansen, seconded by Dan Caruso, carried with seven ayes.
JDAI Coordinator Kathy Armstrong told the council that hours allocated for data support and associated benefits exceeded the needs for the fiscal year and she requested transfers within the #9171 Probation Grant Fund to enable purchase of a replacement laptop; the council approved the transfers. Alicia VanEe, Chief Sanitarian for the Health Department, presented requests to submit two Local Health Maintenance Fund grant applications for $20,966.53 and $33,139.00; the council authorized those applications. The council also approved the Auditor/Treasurer Monthly Comparison Report dated April 30, 2019.
Ruth Beer moved to appoint Sally Heller to fill the remainder of Jackelyn Wooley’s term on the Fremont Public Library Board through Dec. 31, 2019; Wil Howard seconded and the motion carried with seven ayes.
