The Milwaukee Board of School Directors on April 30 approved and ratified a one-year collective bargaining agreement with the Psychologists Association of Milwaukee Public Schools covering July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
The agreement, moved by Director O'Halloran and seconded by Director Seemson, authorizes wage adjustments “namely a 1.5% increase effective 07/01/2026, and an additional 1.13% increase effective 01/01/2027,” both calculated additively against employees’ base wages as of June 30, 2026. Director O'Halloran also moved that the president of the board and the superintendent be authorized to execute the agreement and that the chief financial officer ensure the adjustments are reflected in payroll and budget records.
The board directed the chief human resources officer to administer the agreement, coordinate implementation, and the Office of Board Governance to maintain the executed agreement as an official record available consistent with Wisconsin public records law. The motion passed on a 7–0 roll-call vote; two directors were excused from the meeting.
Board members did not elaborate further on financial sources during the open session. The action is effective immediately upon adoption, and the board indicated the executed agreement will be made available according to applicable public-records practice.
