Board renews TP Engineering motorcycle‑maintenance contract for one year with rate increases

Chip Tolby told the board the motorcycle maintenance and repair contract, initially awarded to TP Engineering in June 2022, has one renewal remaining. TP Engineering requested a rate increase for the renewal: labor from $85 to $100 per hour and transport per round trip from $80 to $90; TP said it will keep the parts discount the same. Tolby noted that the requested rates would still be lower than the next lowest bidder and moved to award the renewal for one year at the requested rates.

The motion to renew was seconded and the board approved the renewal by voice vote. Tolby said purchase orders under the renewed contract will be issued as needed.
