St. Charles Parish Public Schools recognizes staff for service and student support

A presenter for St. Charles Parish Public Schools read a series of employee recognitions highlighting staff work that supports classroom learning, safety and inclusion across the district.

"The cafeteria is an essential extension of the classroom," the presenter said, introducing Stacy Tragle, the cafeteria manager at Alamance Elementary School. The presenter credited Tragle with aligning nutrition lessons to classroom themes, adjusting meal times to school schedules and partnering closely with teachers to support student success.

The presenter also recognized Andrew Luke of Physical Plant Services for plumbing, carpentry and equipment installations that maintain safe school facilities and minimize disruption to instructional time. April Moseley, a leader in curriculum and instruction, was praised for district literacy initiatives and hands-on support aimed at helping students reach critical reading milestones by third grade.

Jennifer Green, assistant principal at RK Smith Middle School, was noted for relationship-focused leadership and consistent support for students, staff and families. Mona Terabone, a paraeducator and math interventionist at Norco Elementary School, was honored for targeted small-group and one-on-one interventions and for collaboration with teachers to support tiered instruction.

Jenna Salazar, senior secretary for the curriculum and instruction department, was thanked for managing budgets, logistics and professional learning coordination. Sean Crochet, special programs facilitator in special education, was recognized for developing individualized staffing models, providing technical support across departments and volunteering with the River Region Special Olympics to promote inclusion.

The presenter closed by honoring Ralph Young, a bus driver with 19 years of service to the district, for punctuality, safety and frequent willingness to cover extra routes and support school events. The recognitions were presented as part of a district address; no votes or formal policy actions were recorded during this segment.
