Council approves plats, contracts and purchases; key votes summarized

The Edmond City Council approved multiple consent and individually considered items at its meeting, including land plats, sole'source procurement and contract change orders.

Land-use approvals: The council approved a preliminary plat for The Grove at Coffee Creek (approx. 16.7 acres, 15 lots) and a final plat and variance for a Take 5 oil change at 1800 E. 2nd Street; both items were recommended by Planning staff and passed on council votes (motions passed 5-0).

Procurement and contracts: The council approved a waiver of competitive bids and a sole'source purchase of Landis+Gyr (Border States Industries) products not to exceed $400,000, following similar action in the Public Works Authority. Council also approved change order #1 for the downtown ADA sidewalk and signal improvements (increase of $121,395.51) and a contract amendment for structural repair work on the Kickin' Bird Pickleball facility (change order #1 for $28,965).

Finance and operations: The council moved several other consent items, including renewal of enterprise agreements for Cisco security and voice systems, and accepted the city's audit and single audit as presented by external auditors.
