Board hears summer school plan and early visioning, strategic planning workshop recap

Board members received an overview of the Oregon School District’s summer semester program, scheduled to run July 8–31, 2024, and discussed early findings from a visioning and strategic planning workshop held that evening.

Ms. Darci Jarstad and Ms. Kristin Buskager presented the summer school overview, describing the program dates and answering board members’ questions about logistics and participant opportunities. Board members had the opportunity to ask questions; the minutes record discussion but no formal vote on the program.

Separately, the Committee of the Whole workshop was held as a visioning and strategic planning session with district office administrators; Dr. Bergstrom summarized that the first part of the annual workshop focused on the board’s priorities for the coming year.

The superintendent’s report included photos and updates from schools as the year winds down and points readers to the Superintendent’s Report posted on the district website, www.OregonSD.org/board.
