Beaver Area SD board sets superintendent pay, renews administrative contracts

The Beaver Area School District Board of Directors on July 22 approved the superintendents 2013'14 salary at $132,648 and renewed the administrative and special-service support contract through June 30, 2016.

Chair Hoback called the meeting to order and Director Matthews moved the motion to set the superintendents salary; Director Woodske seconded and the board approved the motion unanimously. The board also approved salary increases for Administrative and Special Service Support employees for 2013'14, as attached to the minutes.

The actions came alongside routine financial approvals: the board approved multiple payment lists for general, activities and cafeteria funds and accepted the June 2013 Financial and Treasurers reports. The meeting record shows the motions were passed by unanimous votes; no dissent or roll-call breakdown beyond unanimous approval was recorded.

The board noted an earlier executive session that evening to discuss personnel matters and made several related personnel motions later in the meeting. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Aug. 19, 2013.
