At its April 27 meeting the Enumclaw City Council approved two resolutions by voice vote.
Resolution 1872 establishes an assessment reimbursement area to recapture costs for sewer installed as part of the Roosevelt Avenue roundabout project. City staff said the city fronted the work and estimated that just under $88,000 in costs would be recaptured from four parcels under a latecomers reimbursement agreement. Chris Searcy presented the staff report and the council voted to approve the resolution after committee recommendation.
Resolution 1874 authorizes the mayor to submit a grant application to the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for youth athletic facilities lighting. Parks Director Aliyah Hibbs said the project would seek $400,000 in RCO grant funds and leverage existing impact fees as the city’s match; she told the council the match requirement is 50%, the city already has $202,000 in impact fees available, and an additional $198,000 would need to be budgeted in 2027 to meet the total estimated project cost of about $800,000 (including a 15% contingency).
Both resolutions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote; the transcript records the motions and vocal "aye" responses but does not include a roll‑call tally in the record.
