Brian Manning, director of the Appomattox Regional Library System, presented the system’s annual report and told the Prince George County Board of Supervisors that library usage in the county is growing.
Manning said visitor numbers rose through March and that meeting‑room use and program attendance continue to grow; children's programming, summer reading and free adult classes drew strong participation. He noted the Prince George branch hosts a seed library, offers digital loans and public‑computer access, and circulates family‑friendly items including Nintendo games. Manning encouraged residents and board members to participate in an upcoming library survey and in summer reading offerings.
Supervisors thanked Manning for the report and praised the library’s outreach. Manning said more detailed annual statistics are available in the BoardDocs packet.
What’s next: Library staff will continue outreach and provide requested data to county staff; residents are invited to take the library’s survey when it is posted.
