Mullica Board adopts resolution authorizing administrators to advocate for fair state school funding

The Mullica Township Board of Education unanimously adopted a resolution authorizing district leaders to advocate for revisions to the state school funding formula.

The resolution authorizes the superintendent and business administrator, with board support, to advocate for fair and equitable funding for the Mullica Township School District.

A motion to adopt the language was made, seconded, and approved by the board in a single vote with no recorded opposition. Board members and the public praised bringing the issue forward; one commenter said the county round table generated discussion among superintendents and that "there's power in numbers" when districts present a unified request to state decision-makers.
