San Patricio County commissioners voted Dec. 29 to approve claims and payments, accept the treasurer’s reconciliations, and authorize multiple intra-county budget transfers.
Clerk read two extra-check requests to be included in claims: the county portion of the county appraisal district’s first-quarter payment, $156,529.25, and a road-and-bridge fund payment of $49,535. A motion to pay the bills with those additions was made and approved unanimously.
The court also approved multiple line-item transfers across departments (district court, county court-at-law, county judge’s office, treasurer, auditor, animal control, library, personnel, and road and bridge). The clerk noted a rotor bridge precinct 4 budget amendment that moves funds from the general fund into road and bridge precinct 4. Commissioner Gillespie moved and the court approved the transfers and amendment.
Treasurer presented the bank reconciliations and reported a General Fund health transfer of $110,800 and a Section 125 amount of $1,369.86; the court accepted the treasurer's report by motion.
