Midway schedules America 250 kickoff, Arbor Day and July 4 concert

The Midway City Parks, Trails & Trees Committee on April 28 reviewed upcoming community events tied to the America 250 celebrations and the city's annual beautification activities.

Committee members noted the America 250 kickoff is scheduled for May 9, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include a free lunch. Other items tied to the 250th anniversary include the July 4 concert by the Utah Symphony on the Town Square and an ongoing mural project.

The committee also publicized the yearly Midway beautification and Arbor Day event on Saturday, June 10, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., which will involve cleanup of city parks, plantings at the Town Square, and a free breakfast for volunteers. The committee closed the meeting by noting that Chair Cristine Tuttle may be relocating due to work and could move as early as the end of the month; members expressed support for her and said she will be missed. The meeting adjourned at 7:10 P.M.
