Staff says ECC Ed Spec wording revised to identify Early Childhood Center at Ward High School; board vote expected tomorrow

A staff member told the Fairfield building committee that she revised the Early Childhood Center (ECC) Educational Specification to remove references to Ward Elementary School and explicitly identify the project as the Early Childhood Center at Ward High School, and that the Board of Education will vote on the change tomorrow.

"Tomorrow, board of education is meeting, and we will be voting on the revised ECC Ed Spec so that it is written out early childhood center at Ward High School, and the references to elementary throughout the Ed Spec were removed," the staff member said. She added that, if the board approves the revision, she will finalize the remaining educational specifications and forward them as requested.

The committee recorded the submission of the revised document and staff said the ECC Ed Spec will be marked final after the board vote and then circulated to the committee and other stakeholders. No vote by this committee was taken on the ECC Ed Spec during the meeting.
