Committee weighs painted mailbox markings and adding mailbox protections to parking code

The committee explored adding a mailbox protection clause to an existing parking section (referenced as code 5108 in the conversation) as a way to create a local enforcement mechanism without painting yellow curb lines everywhere. Members asked staff to research other municipalities' language and costs and to return with recommended language and cost estimates before moving to a formal ordinance change.
